I didnt read this whole thread so this might have been discussed but wont running alcohol eat through normal gaskets? Arent metal gaskets needed to run alcohol?

Glad to see that someone finally tried this! Keep working on those 1/4 mile times, let us know how it goes.

Gasoline will eat through gaskets faster than alcohol would. In other words, if the gaskets can handle gas, they can handle alcohol.

Gaskets are made to gasoline injected car specs. It could be true about that it could eat gaskets. Although I think alcohol does more damage to electrical stuff because it has conductivity.

For example: Thats why alcohol injectors are different than gasoline injectors.

well, i just ordered my kit from aquastealth, I will let you guys know how it goes. :D :D :D :D :D :D I wonder what kind of boost I could run being unflashed, having access to 94 octance gas, my mods in sig and this kit. (uhm)

I can run 14psi flashed, enough for the clutch to slip. Since you're unflashed, you could run 1-2 more probably, s*** your car will be fast! I ran 14psi unflashed last summer, it was a lion. Don't do any huge burnouts and your diff will be fine.

Oh yes, I don't know where you read that the ice will help. The chemical process of turning water into vapour uses a huge amount of energy, like hundreds of degrees. It takes the energy from the charged air. That is what lowers the intake temp. Any one feel like calling bulls*** they used it in formula 1 in the turbo cars of the 80's. And it worked so well they banned it.
What will help your drag times / mph is drag radials. If you're spinning uncontrollably in first gear, you need to add grip not more HP.

Sorry to dig this thread outta the grave- I hadn't visited it in a while. Anyway, Wesman- I 100% agree with you. I don't use the ice in the tank to get more power, I just use it as yet another deterrant for detonation. The colder the water, the more energy it takes to vaporize it. I also agree on the drag radial/ slicks, but I figured I will just throw more horsies at my problem becaues I always want my power there, not just at the track, plus I hate changing my tires.

Also, I figure if I can just be a better driver I will get better traction as well.
