Hello all,
When I bought my MSP, I noticed that it wouldn't make any boost pressure. The boost gauge would spool up to 0 PSI, maybe 1 PSI on occasion, and then surge and make absolutely no power after that. I quickly realized that the internal wastegate on the factory turbo wasn't closing and causing me all these problems. Me and some buddies tried to move the wastegate actuator rod manually and it took a strong man and some heavy duty pliers to barely move it. My mechanic says I'll need a brand new turbo. I already have a new wastegate actuator but they said that wouldn't solve the problem either.
I saw an old post discussing an MSP that had a wastegate stuck closed, but mine is stuck open. Has anyone else had this issue. If so, is there a way to get the internal wastegate free'd up without replacing the whole damnt thing? i appreciate any help.
