Warrenty Issue

Ok I went by mazda to see if the AEM intake what it would invaladate and he said not much but if I had an engine problem to just take it off and put on the stock intake. And Then he said not to worry about it invaladating the warrenty at all because they dont write down if you changed anything when you get it serviced there. I was wondering if you guys think I should swap intakes everytime I get my car serviced at mazda

NO, for the simple fact that the only way a dealer could invalidate any part of your warrentee is AFTER you have a failure and they can PROVE that the mod you did CAUSED the failure....so think about it...how could an intake possibly ever cause you a problem...its only some pipe and a filter.

Stick with your AEM and don't worry about it.

Thats what I thought but I wanted to make sure the guy at mazda is pretty dumb. Do you know if the skunk 2 cat back fits the mp3 too?

Yea...

I am having the same problem.I have put an injen intake on my car, and i dont know if i should switch it when i get it serviced this week. And I will soon be adding a cat-back exhaust from Borla so I donno what that will do to my warranty.

I have the injen intake and I have had my car serviced at least 5 times since i have had it. No one has sad anything to me. I will be sending my car to magnaflow on monday have their cat-back exhaust put on my car. They said it won't mess with the warranty because it doesn't mess with the engine.

they are using my car to see how it is going to work and run tests and stuff. I'll let you know what I think of it.

I definately get back with you then. I will be dropping it off Monday morning and should be getting it back Wednesday or Thursday. I'll be letting you know how everything goes sometimes toward the end of the week!

Cool cool when you go to Magnaflow you can tell them you think you sold one already. I will defenitly get one if its good. I heard magnaflow doesnt sound good though.

Well my husband has just a magnaflow muffler on his CRX and I think it sounds good. so maybe mine will sound good too! I hope.

In the Aug SCC, the mag did a comparison between exhausts on a Celica. Turns out that TRD's exhaust gave the biggest increase in HP according to their testing guidelines. I'm thinking wait until Mazdaspeed designs s/thing specific for the MS Protege and get that exhaust system.......
