Warranty - MEPP CPO Wrap

Hi Everyone!

My wife and I are wanting to join "zoom zoom" family by purchasing a pre-owned certified '08 CX-7 GT w/ 31K miles, tech package, etc.

Dealer is offering an additional warranty plan: MEPP CPO Wrap for approximately $1400. Normally, I stay away from extended warranties.

However, after reading about timing chain & A/C compressor issues I am considering getting the plan.

What is a verdict here? Is it worth it or money wasted?
Also, is $1400 a fair price?

Excited to be a part of this wonderful forum! Thank you!

My dealer threw in the Mazda branded 5 year / 72K warranty to sweeten the deal on my 2008 I bought with 3922 miles.

Just a thought...
Good luck, you'll love it-
Frank.

Wow... is that bumper to bumper 5yr/72k??? that is an awesome deal....

i ended up picking up the car yesterday, skipped the warranty (at least for now)...

great car... feel i overpaid a little but wife is happy.... came w/ 100k powertrain warranty...

i really enjoy driving it too...

planned mods: sirius, aux (fm modulator), new maps - otherwise the car is perfect... trying to stay away from any power mods...

Yes, bumper to bumper...
The 100K wty: is that a dealer add-on, because I believe my '08 was a straight 5/60 powertrain.
And congrats!
Frank.

Yes, it's dealer/mazda add-on. This was a certified pre-owned vehicle, thus comes w/ 100k miles power train warranty. It has 31k miles on it now.
