Warning about Perrin SRI

I agree with 122 Vega.

PERRIN_JOHN - Any idea how many intakes you have sold?

So there should be no problems on my car that is otherwise completely stock?

The reason I ask is that I am preparing my car for a National Tour autocross event that is coming up in a few weeks and I was looking at possibly picking up an intake. (possibly daedalus')

Sound like a small issue just got blown out of proportion. No worries.

As for posting the instructions. I agree. (2thumbs) Luckily we do not run into this problem very often but it does happen. Currently our instruction sets pull images straight from our product database, which is made up of all 300dpi images. (that means theyre really big.) So instructions sets like an FMIC can end up being 5 to 10 MB. The image quality is great to print.but the file size makes it lousy to e-mail.
We are currently working to convert all instruction sets (100+) to simple 50KB PDFs but it will take some time.

And thank you to daedalus for his kind comments. Like I say just got blown up thats all. (gun)

hey since snail mail is taking forever, is there a way to email it over? ... that would be great if you could.... brandon@transonicracinginnovations.com
thanks!

I believe Jeff would really like a call to discuss this issue. He has carried no voice messages on his phone since Monday. He did received one email yesterday, which he promptly answered, but no others. He received another e-mail back acknowledging that you forgot about the sensor and you would let him know how the install is going. Nancy will never place you straight into voicemail. If Jeff is unavailable please ask to speak to another person so we can get you taken care of.

RocketspeedNow Im shootn from the hip here so forgive me if I am wrong. I dont think you purchased it from us. I dont think a refund was offered because we dont have your money. (no sarcasm intended) I believe you purchased the intake form one of our dealers who upon request should be willing to refund your money. This subject is kind of moot(spelling? (uhm) ) now since you have received the replacement product and are willing to give it a try.
Lets see how it does and go from there.
I doubt it would be useful to argue with this guy as to whether or not he answers messages. This thread was precipitated by radio silence from your end and I wasn't making it up. And I don't think I'm some crazed guy who flew off the handle for nothing- it was 5 months in before I got PO'd about it.

The new Perrin SRI is in and so far running pretty well. It is still possible to stall it, but you have to boost up and abruptly let off throttle and push in the clutch. RPMs fall all the way to 0.

I don't often encounter this on the road, so it doesn't seem to be a real problem.

I may have noticed some hesitation on hard 1-2 shifts, but I haven't been driving the MSP for a while so I'll have to log some more miles to be sure.

For the most part it seemed to drive OK, though.

It makes the turkey noise very quiet.
