I have the Eibachs on my p5 now. I want to get HR's, I thought, "hey maybe someone wants to trade" so Im putting it out there.. The Eibachs are a little softer, so I want HR's and Im going to get new struts as wells.. Hit me back if your into it..Thanks!!

just curious, where did you hear the H&Rs are stiffer than the Eibachs? I thought it was the other way around. Also, I'm pretty sure the Eibachs' drop is more than the H&Rs, which would be consistent with the Eibachs being stiffer. Is there any authoritative comparison of springs around or just what the people selling them say?

I'm trying to decide what to buy and all the info out there is a bit confusing. Thanks for any info.

The Tire Rack lists the following:

Eibach Pro-Kit
avg lowering 1.3"F/1.7"R
$216

H&R Sport
avg lowering 1.3"F/1.3"R
$198

I'm pretty sure these are just the manufacturer's published numbers so you may get different results in real life. The other strange thing is that they list the same avg drop for the MP3/MSP as for the ES, even though the MP3/MSP starts out 0.75-1.0" lower. I'm also pretty sure the springs are the same for all Protege sedans, although the P5 may use different springs.

Some real world drop figures for both MP3/MSP and non-MP3/MSP cars would be helpful. Did you measure the drop you got from the Eibachs?

When I did my suspension swap with eggynatey we compare the spring in his P5 with a set of ES springs and they were identical. Here are some pics. The only difference in stock spring is the spring rate in the rear ones. But no physical difference in fit or size. Here are some pics.
