mazda3 5 door
well have had entirely to much time on my hands at work today and came up with an idea to spend some more of this hard...*cough cough* overtime i am getting so... i want navigation!! so those guys who are lucky enough to have the stock navi what is the size of the screen and a couple of pics of how it is mounted if possible would be sweet.... that is the perfect place for a monitor and if i am going to have a monitor why not get a navi unit as well as dvd and stuff it in the glove box? there is so much room in that thing anyways!!

thanks for the help

dear god, those navi units are not cheap, it looks like it would be a bit more practical to make a small "carputer" stuff that in the glove box, and by one of those small gps recievers such as...

http://gpsnow.com/gm10.htm

or something along that line... mmm my roomate is a computer guy i bet i could make this work, and then i would have the dvd drive of the comp to do other stuff on the monitor with and it would all be hidden in the glove box...(i think i just talked myself into a carputer...) (need to start workin more ot!!!)

heres a pic for yah.(or 3)

yeah, not cheap, the dealer will **** you on the install and the parts,

I work at a mazda dealer, the sales guys keep asking me if there is a kit to put the Bose audio system into the 6, and I keep telling them its too much money, roughly about $2500 COST TO THE DEALER, not including labor,
the left and right speakers are $170 each, and you need new wires for almost everything.
I'de be willing to bet its almost the same with the 3

i wasn't even looking at the factory nav unit just aftermarket ones and they were around 1700 or so (just the drive no screen and not a hu combo) i couldn't believe it.

thanks mazda3zoom those pics will help, what is that tilt button for on each side of the screen???

i just want the shell so i can install another monitor, you know you can never have enough monitors. i want to be able to lay down with my legs in the back seat and my head near the shifter and still be able to watch tom and jerry
