I'm not sure if it could be modified to mate with the stock 2nd cat. I didn't bother cause I did the high flow cat at the same time as the header install. I'll take a few measurements the next time I've got the car on the hoist.

I actually had a 2 1/4 custom cat back with a straight through muffler, but I lost way too much down low so I just put the stock mid section exhaust pipe back on. The car is a lot more fun to drive around town now! I still haven't had time to figure out my CEL yet tho'. It's on because of the second O2.

the light SHOULD go out if you use the o2 sensors to straddle the high flow cat. and because you got a CEL, i am holding off untill someone cang et it on with the CEL.

you should get a hold of these headers from Ric, modify the EGR connection to fit the protege, and offer it with a high flow cat pipe that allows use of the second o2 sensor behind the cat to prevent a CEL. (just a thought)

I do have the second O2 installed after the cat... I don't think running 1 high flow is effiecient enough...

That's a great idea and what I was planning on doing. At this point there are several options then. What we'll need to offer is an O2 simulator. That will solve the problem.

I will call them as well as a few other companies. I would also like to see where it falls with respect to the second cat. I will get to work on it.

I would be interested as well Rishie, especially if it's bolt on/off and the cat could easily be put back to pass smog and that CEL wouldn't come on :)

I WAS going to order the AWR header today but since this may be out soon im going to hold off and get this one if it will be available ... $290 is a good price... is there going to be stainless and mild steel?

what about the exhaust hangers .. will the match up to the protege hangers.
 
i have this header on my mp5.good hp gains still trying to fix the cell light. both o2 are hooked up and egr i even have an o2 simulator but still cel light.
