VS Chevrolet Spark

ok so i dont know if this classifies as motorsports but anyway.. on my way home from my girlfriends house tonight im sitting at a red light about 2 mins from home when a new Spark comes next to me. i knew what he wanted cause i saw the bright BLUE headlights and side decals lol. so i wait and as the light turns green he guns it.. now as most of us 2 owners know we are not known for our acceleration off the line so it took me a sec but i caught him quite quick. we were neck and neck, pretty good race.. till i had to turn off for home. i thought about staying in it till the next light but didnt feel like having to turn around. haha

just thought ide share and give our 2's some credit.. 100HP doesnt seem like much but it does well enough to get the job done.

i also hope this doesnt offend anyone against street racing and if it does please let me know and ill have the post deleted. (drinks)

Offend? No, but probably not a good idea to post/brag about street racing on a public forum. First, it's stupid, dangerous and immature to do. Save it for the track. Let the other guy look like a moron who decides to gun it on a public street. Secondly, on the off chance someone complains to law enforcement about your particular race and they somehow investigate and find this post(don't laugh, stranger things have happened), congratulations on giving up your 5th amendment right and handing them evidence against you!

Drag racing the 2 is probably the slowest most boring form of amusement one can have in their life. I dont think a 2 could ever get in trouble for drag racing as the school bus a few lanes over can probably take off, pick up \drop off some kids and still beat the 2 to the next light ;P

Now for autox....thats a different story.

I drove a Fiat 500 Sport yesterday and it felt faster than my 2. I honestly think it was the gearing, because it shouldn't be that much faster. The brakes though, OMG the brakes were amazing.

I haven't had anyone want to drag race me in my 2, despite the because race car sticker on the rear bumper (angel)

ps XCLR8TN you should come out to the toledo airport at the autox and compete with me at one event next year...should be fun. I'll have your $$$ right at christmas...but you can take your time on when you want to deliver...1st event isnt until april 29th!

I had a Wangan Midnight style race with a Fit once.

It was like the special olympics, since neither of us could really go anywhere past 95 mph.

I'm horrrrrrible at auto-x. I can't deal with the cones give me a road and I will drive as hard as possible... But those damn cones confuse me.

Anyways keeping things on track... What else have you guys raced? Lol

races a citreon c2 vts, got pwned lol 138bhp, raced a vauxhall corsa C 1.4 but he had modded it n pwned me down the motorway, i raced a slightly modded 1.4 n pwned them, blew em away with 6000rpm in 2nd, 3rd, then 4th doing well over 100mph hit 5th n went on to 115mph haha

Beat a 89 Civic with a SRI
Beat a Chevy Optra.
Got beaten by a 2001 Focus by a hair.

All in straight lane. Optra started to cought up on my at 140 KM/H. The Civic was not even close. And the Focus was a battle unitl the end.

One thing I learned during my long drive across Wyoming and into Utah is how fast you can go in different gears. 2nd, for instance, goes up to 60mph. 3rd goes to 85. 4th I didn't quite discover. I believe it was at least 110, and maybe up to 115. You need to shift later.
