Has anyone run these at all? They're rather pricey, but seem to have a good reputation. I'm just starting to look into options now. Was thinking 15x7...maybe 15x8. They are about 10 pounds or so. Any thoughts?

Cheers

They are awesome wheels. They are at "classic" status when it comes to wheels. If you like the look and wanna win the game, by all means, pick up a set. My whole thought on them is different though. For about $200 each, you could get a set of Enkei RPF1's. They weigh in at less than 10lbs. If you can stand that extra 1.4lbs, the 949 Racing 6UL is a steal @ $130 a corner.
I'm no wheel offset/size wizard, but both 15x7 and 8 will work. I guess it just depends on or intentions. Volks have an excellent reputation though. They make a great product. Keep in mind that it won't be pretty if you curb one, or just damage one in general. You'd have to not only pay a lot of money for a replacement, you'd have to wait too as Volks are usually a special order from a distributor that sells them. With a more common-readily available wheel, your wallet won't hurt as much and you be back out on the road sooner.

Hey Paul,

Great suggestion. I think I'll seriously consider the 949 6UL. There is another thread going that has those rims.

Size-wise, your cool. Now depending on the offest you may run into problems. Again, I'm know wheel expert, but I think 225/45-15 is too wide and short for the wheel. But, I could be wrong. As for the nickel on the black, it'll look great in my opinion.

The 6ULs are nice and I had a chance to see that car in person over the weekend! Be sure to check your offset as they are close to the calipers at +36. As for the Volks, they are a great wheel, lightweight and strong but going to cost...as they say, you have to pay to play. Check out goodwinracing.com, they have a nice wheel selection for the 2.

Hey Paul,

Yeah it looks like the 225/45 are also a bit less common. So I think probably 205/55/r15 may be a better idea(I think that's the size).
Cheers
