VIS sucks, right?

boobles cracks fitment issues ... but it makes some good french fries...

Is yours cracked around the vents also? Mine has some pretty big cracks there.

my fitment on my VIS evo hood is decent, not the best but good enough. it is getting small minor cracks around the vents and is very slightly yellowing. for 495 shipped and on for over a year i'm fine with it, i mean its not a show car

I decided on Fiber Images for my own hood. After seeing other companies that make fiberglass hoods with a layer of carbon over it, I went with what I knew would be good. Theirs is not a fiberglass hood w/ a layer over it. It's also very clean looking on the underside. The structural support is a better design than other companies.

I was going to go through JSP for their hood and trunk, but decided to spread the cash around a bit (I have enough carbon as it is). I don't have any experience with their products either.

If you're interested in prices I can get Extreme Dimensions, Seibon, and DG Motorsports hoods for the Proteges. I think I can get VIS also, but I personally wouldn't recommend their product.

Hey Matthew, i'm probably pretty late on thie thread, buy my VIS hood doesn't fit perfectly, it sits a little high in the front, i'm getting all kinds of cracks on the turbo side vent, and the clearcoat or c/f (not sure which one) is actaully turning yellow/gold from the sun (U/V coating my ass). as for trunks... i dunno i'm sure it'll still turn yellow and fitment is a gamble.
