Here is a small video of my car racing on tracks ... me in it ofcourse :P

http://www.rallipesakond.ee/rain/mazdamovie.wmv

13.8Mb and 2min long :P
Save as would be good cause it is not the fastest server :)

As in video its said that the car has straight trough exhaust with 2.25 piping and no cats, OMP cone filter, AWRacing motor mounts. No more stuff for performance ... till next year ;)

It sounds incredibly beefy, mean as hell. Have you dynoed it with no cats. Are those your stock bulbs?

No I haven't dynoed it with no cats, since we don't have a good dyno around here, maeby I will in summer 2004.

The bulbs are Philips Vision Plus. So they are brighter and whiter and lights better :)

Thumb up to the camera-man. Very professional!!!

The camera man at the first part of the movie on tarmac was a professional one, last ones are filmed by my friends. Edited by me ofcourse :)

Great video and excellent driving..
so you have no suspen mods...
if not..then that video is a great testament to how awesome the P5 handles

No suspension mods :)
The car does handle well , but I have some stiffer springs in my thoughts, but that is next years stuff.

And thanks :)

Very nice pictures. Keep up the good work. :)

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the video. The server died half way through the download. I'll try it again later.

what a great movie! Your car was was killing those tires!! I would suggest a good drop and some good tires and you'll own the road course. I'm not a fan of dirt myself, but it looks lik you pulled through it nicely. I didn't notice much more sliding between dirt and road..Also, turbo never hurts either!

And sorry about the server ... it was rebooted and some stuff was installed. It should work fine now :)

Those tyres are with good handling but they make such a noise when cornering fast :)

But about the drop , i cant do that , cause if you listen carefully when i drive on dirt or that small jump , my front end allready touches the ground, since I have an aluminium engine cover under my car to protect it from rocks and stuff, so its low allready. But Im gonna find some stiffer springs with same height :) And turbo is too expensive at the moment , but next year a head work and comp. raising ang also flywheel-clutch combo and header are in plans , so we will see :)

With all of the mods you're planning to do to your car you're not going to get much power. Maybe 160 or so on the motor. Small turbos can be had in the $2K range and will add an easy 60-100hp to the wheels. I'm not sure if this is good or bad for rally, but for a road course it'll help ten-fold. Also, I thought the tires might be good, they looked like the gripped well. I thought with the amount of squealing I heard that they were slipping. I understand about the rideheight also. Why not switch to a full coilover suspension. These are easily $300 and will allow either extreme drops or firmer stock heights. This is probably what I will do to mine. I like the height for cruising, but when racing or showing I'd like it down about 1.5".

160hp to the engine would be ok with me. About the prices ... the headwork and comp. raise i can have with about 300-400$ here in Estonia. A turbo Kit ordered from USA, would cost me about 2500$. With that price, I could have all the suspension mods and I would have money left over. And too much power on gravel would need an LSD which would be another 1300$ ( quaife ). So everything is connected with each other, if you do one thing, you have to do another and so on. Those tyres are street tyres but with pretty good grip and since we have very much rain here, i can't buy some special slicks for tarmac. I do have special gravel tyres since most of the races we have, are on gravel ;)

Cool! Sounds good too.

Tnx , its a little loud for everyday driving on highway but otherwise ok.

One more thing about boosting my car- in europe the compression rate is 9.7:1 which is a little high for turbo , so I would have to buy new internals. And a turbo kit without an intercooler would be bad for racing , since i think it would go too hot on the warm day. So reliability is an issue.

But if i win a lottery, then I'll go all the way to the dark side (laugh)
