its true, you should at least get an exhaust to compliment the header. otherwise you have a ton of free flowing through the header that goes into a SUPER restrictive stock exhaust
honestly without somesort of fuel controlling device you just gonna bog yourself down, not terribly but still cause I was slightly dissapointed when I put mine on, made my exhaust sound like I want it though

slightly It just leans your afr a bit if you could control fuel you would be able to fully take advatage, something like the cpe standback
also: 2.0's seem to be less affected to me, my old roommate had similar mods and his felt like it accelerated smoother not as much torque but a clean acceleration
