I live in CA and I guess vibrant hasnt had anyone from CA purchase this exhaust, there is no where for the 2nd 02 sensor to go...

I thought I read a thread about CA cars being different with their exhaust systems but I couldnt find it when I went to find it. Im going to check again and make sure I didnt miss anything... but yeah if you live in CA, just know this exhaust doesnt have the bung you need.

Is there a second O2 sensor? Technically the exhaust illegal anyway since it replaces the 2nd cat. But is is a nice looking exhaust. Also check www.moccforums.com, it is strictly a CA forum.

it puts in a high flow cat yes... i thought i remember reading that it was carb legal.. or whatever.... if you want to sell it let me know... hehe...

LOL I like how it sounds. I came from a p5 with obx header and megan cat back...real nasty loud, drowned out convo's at 3-5.5k rpms. This one sounds much more mellow, the video on *************.com or whatever makes it sound alot louder than it really is. It purrs instead of buzz's. Im havin a bit of fitment issues, (muffler is hitting the heat shield by the gas tank) but I got the 2nd o2 sensor bung welded in for 25 bucks, and im going in tomorrow to get an inch added so the muffler wont be touching the heat shield anymore. Kind of a bit of work for a bolt on system eh? Maybe its just me cuz I had trouble with my megan hitting, even after bending exhaust hangers.

Moral of the story, rent the pipe cutter from autozone, it cut the stock exhaust real easily. If you live in CA, and guy the vibrant exhaust be prepared to shell out a few bucks to have the second o2 sensor bung welded in. Sounds great. Oh and watch your elbows on the heat shielding, my are all cut up, but that wouldnt be a problem if I had a lift, I did it on jack stands. Not difficult at all.

do you have an "i" model or an "s" model?? because the "i" model is different

little update, another 40 bucks to have a 1\2 extention welded into the pipe to make it fit. All is well and im happy now!!

I heard that it won't pass a visual inspection because in Cali it is "illegal" to replace an oem cat, but then again it could be BS. I will check out the CA Air Resource Board website to find out.

Both midas and mufflers west said it was illegal. When smog check comes around ill just put the stock exhaust back on. 40 bucks and two flanges later all will be well.

Either that or have the stock catalytic welded back in. I really dont know if a hi flow cat makes any difference or not.
