Alright let me vent! I changed my brakes ( brembo ventilated rotors and Hawk HPS pads on all fours ) for my 2003 Protege5 about 3 months ago.
Now I've been noticing squeaking/grinding, so I took it in Monday. Only to find that the front calipers were about to seize and that they needed to change. Problem the ENTIRE time was that the guide pins (cheap metal pieces that the pad sits on the caliper) were making the pads stick. Apparently those needed to be changed along with the whole brake change? Now who's fault is it!?! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
