Ok, here is the deal. I am getting an alignment for my birthday, so my dad called the shop he trusts to set something up. He asked what they charge and they said $50. Then the guy asked my dad if it was "his son who had lowered his car." My dad said it was and the guy said it would probably cost more. Is that a normal thing? I thought it was just a set price

That dude is a jerk. At least your dad called in before heading over there. Now he can jsut say is his car and not yours. ****'em. I almost got into an arguement with a guy incharge of a body shop for asking something similar. Guy was a real fuckface. they talk to you like they know you NEED whatever s*** you came for.
