Vanity Plates

I'm thinking of getting vanity plates and I tried a few combinations and found the following available.
CXSEVEN
CX SEVEN (I CAN ALSO ADD THE STATE SYMBOL IN THE SPACE)
CX7 GT
CX7TURBO
CX7 ZOOM
CX7 ZMZM
ZZMZZMZM
ZOOMZMMM
ZOOMZZMM
ZQQMZQQM

ANY OPINIONS BESIDES SAVE YOUR MONEY?
HAVE YOU SEEN ANY OTHERS YOU THOUGHT MIGHT BE GOOD?

You've already posted the same question on Edmunds!

I think we all see each other around on the other forums ;)

PS. Save your money.

What state are you in that you can have that many letters?

Go for ZUUM ZUUM.

I had ZUUUMER when I lived in VA. Vanity tags are waaaay too expensive in GA, so I don't have them now.

No need to be an ass. Edmunds' forums are crap.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!(ughdance) :bs: (enguard) (poke) (first) (RTM) (blowup)

Why? I like my AZCAT plate (CX-7), and my ATA2D plate (Miata). $50 a year, divided by 12, is four bucks and change a month. A two-liter bottle of Diet Coke a week, each...yeah, that'll bust me.

I thought about getting a set of plates for my car once, and decided against it. Someone made the point to me that if I were to piss someone off on the road, (drive) a vanity plate would be much easier for them to remember.

In addition, there is the people who will speed up to get close behind you and tailgate you as they read your plate, and try to decipher it.

My mom had a vanity plate she picked out for her first new car, and at stop lights it was always amusing looking in the rear view mirror, watching people mouth the plate, trying to figure it out.

In the end it is all how you wish to express yourself, and an automobile is certainly one way to do just that.

I guess I prefer to remain a little more anonymous as I express myself zooming on the backroads.(drive2)

Keep Zooming!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but...

Just wondering what plates cost elsewhere? Seems to have a monthly component. Here in Oz we pay a larger up front fee but then the plates are yours for ever. You can even take them off a vehicle and hold them until you have something nice to put them on if you want.

Of course this varies state by state but roughly:

Letters and numbers (CX-007) costs $325 for tin and $425 for plastic
Custom costs $2000 (CX7 or TURBO etc, although most are long gone)
Make plates $3700 (MAZDA, although prob gone too)

I don't find vanity plates to be a wise investment think about it if you sped on the highway or did anything that to some might be iradic driving hense vanity plate makes you an easier target since they can remember the letters better then random

vanity plates here in Estonia (Europe) cost about $1600 (one time fee)

Up to 8 characters + one number (example: HOTCHICK 2)
And yes, you can save them for later use...

i have RX8 on my turbo rotary rocket and CX7 on my "Grocery Getter"

so shoot me (five-0)

Ouch, that hurts! $1600 ??

Here in Virginia, vanity plates are part of registration and that's only $35 a year. So, if I held onto my CX-7 for 10 years, that's only a $350 investment. And they can be transferred. In my case, though, transferring wouldn't be a good idea. (cool)
