Valve Body is here...

They arent open today so I emailed them and I will call them as well. I am known for bugging the s*** out of companies if you **** up an order. this s*** pisses me off. I am tired of feathering my damn gas pedal to suit my tranny. I guess it will be another whole 1-2 weeks. This ******* s*** pisses me off so bad. AS for what Matthew said
Dude if you are going to be boosting 5psi or over and really getting into it, it is recommended that you upgrade the valve body. Taht is the cheapest way to insure that your tranny will not **** up. Incase you guys didnt know the valve body increases the transmission fluid pressure in the transmission and reduces friction and heat, therefore extending the life of your transmission.
excuse my cussing and mistyping, I am currently under the influence.

haha.. look man im telling you, no need to feather your gas pedal. even at partial throttle you can go into boost, your tranny isnt going to die that quick i could understand if you floor it from a dead stop but come on now. just baby the car for now, open up throttle after 1st gear if you can and you will be fine, also i notice people are stating when you shift let your foot off the gas then shift.. first and foremore our transmission are manuals. you have no clutch so why are you depressing the pedel just to shift. let off the gas easily then shift, i tried shifting while take my foot off the gas feels to me the transmission doesnt like that.

Also as i stated try investing in a transmission cooler as well its only 50.00, also look into switching to a synthetic blend of mercon V transmission fluid, im due for a trans flush at in another 3,000 miles. i plan on switching over then.

ya, i'm looking to do a few things to better my "turbo install"
1.valve body upgrade
2.tranny cooler
3. syn tranny oil
4. sell the mpi (too difficult to tune on the auto)
5. install a rrfpr and FM V clamp

Man... Dont say that... Now you're making me worry about using the MPI on my car.
Oh well, I guess I'll see for myself and end up switching to the microtech or whatever.

don't get me wrong, it works...but because the auto wants to always be in the lowest gear possible and the mpi works off of load too...it's just difficult to dial in the way i'd like. i was thinking of going with the extra injector and just tuning that for boost...but at 5psi, the begi and clamp will suit me fine...i can sell the mpi and pay for some other upgrades

Let me know how that set-up works out for you, I might follow suit.
Since I'm only running 5psi as well.

Yea, dont get me wrong bumpin i will get the lentech upgrade eventually, i dont plan on boosting past 6 PSI anyway. but its not like my transmission is going to die from me being boosted either.

you dont have a sport ATX do you, so your right, the transmission does want to be in the lower gear possible, i would understand if you had a sport AT because you can control your own shiftpoints. what if you upgraded or installed the Sport ATX transmission? but at that point your better off doing a MTX conversion instead

ya, no sport st here..and ya either the conversion or better yet by a MT!!

I called Lentech today and found out that for some reason the Mazda Valve bodies don't come with solenoids and that I would have to use the old solenoids. Thats fine with me, just wish taht they told me this before Friday. I will be putting it in this weekend I guess.

Well, I decided to call into work today and go ahead and get this thing installed. I have gotten the oil pan off and let the fluid drain and took out most of the valve body bolts but more fluid started rushing out from all the nooks and crannies so I let her sit for a minute. I am taking a few pictures but not as many as some folks would like. been fairly easy so far. I think the thuth is that when people hear transmission, like like to stay away from it. Maybe they think its in the depths of the tranny and you have to remove the tranny. I am just following the instructions from the tech manual and I should be done shortly. most of the time will probably be spent trying to scrape off the old gasket and applying a new one. After that I am going to close my wastegate, and install my new factory downpipe to replace the old broken one I have. I will try to keep updating, but i cant promise. but I will surely post after its done. later

So have you been riding around with the wastegate hangin wide open?
no just slightly open, I can't easily boost to 6.5-7 psi. I didn't want to boost too much on the stock valve body.
I finally got it in. I am highly suprised. Check the first post for pics and stuff.

Sorry I overlooked your post. I have had a tranny cooler in my car for about 3 months now. Not sure what you were talking about shifting, all I know is that I let off the gas to shift, and now its a little hard to determine which way it should be done, because the tranny shifts so damn fast. It's like I pull the changer down to shift and when it gets the signal to shift it shifts in like a half a second, nice hard shifts. Will take some time to learn how to shift it right.
