I thought it was time to do a V8 powered sports sedan poll. So vote for the car you like and post why you voted for it. I did not include the e90 M3 sedan because it has not be shown yet.

My boss has a CTS-V. It's nice but the Lexus IS-F is what I would take out of the group.

I voted for the Pontiac G8 because of the ease of modded and tuning it. Also its the best bang for the buck out of these cars.

The IS-F is only available with an auto.

i've always been a fan of the audi rs, so thats where my vote went.

i do really like the IS-F, and surprisingly like the G8....

Vauxhall here. It just looks beefy, and mean.

Oh yeah, and the Vette motor doesn't hurt either.

is the G8 a rebadged australian holden commodore, converted to drive on the wrong side of the road?

It is a VE Commodore. We drive on the correct side of the road. HE HE.

I can not wait to go visit family Australia next year!!

Money no option: The RS4. Its just an awesome AWD road rocket.

Realistically: I WILL own a G8 GXP someday. Its like an affordable last gen M5, it looks the business, it will handle great and the interior is not too shabby either. This cars going to be a massive hit!

like many others the rs is the handsdown winner for me~if money was no object

the pontiac is the favorite though for affordability, quality and style
very nice car

bump for more votes & opinions. These are some nice machines her people. If the response from this thread and other industry rumblings is any indicator, pontiac is going to do very well with the G8.

I'll go the Benz...

Here in Aus, Commodores are a dime a dozen, the "wow" factor has worn off. The AMG looks really tough, wouldn't mind driving one despite the "snob" stigma attached to it LOL!

Benz for me, neighbor has one and my MP3 always pisses itself as do I whenever we pass by it. : ( It's a mean looking sedan.

It looks like MERC finally got it right with the C63 AMG. Power was never the problem with AMG mercs, they were just lacking that "certain something" when it came to handling. Looks like they have got it figured now. BMW better watch its back because AUDI, MERCEDES & LEXUS are all sick of the
M3 getting all the accolades and it looks like they are playing for keeps. I'd be interested in seeing how the G8 GXP stacks up to these cars at the strip and on a track. It costs half of what most of them do but I bet its more than half as fast!
