USB Folder Music Bizarre Ordering?

Hey guys, long time lurker, just made an account!

I have a 2013 Mazda2 Sport. And for the little over a year that I've owned it I have not been able just where the heck it's pulling the order for the folders I add on it out of. For a couple of examples: I have 50 or so Albums of the flash drive. One album is always last, I don't know why. I just added 2 albums a week ago and they are in spot 17 and 20. It's not alphabetical for sure because the last album starts with a B. Has anyone ever figured it out?

I believe it uses the raw order on the flash drive. It is mostly alphabetical, but it puts my ZZ Top somewhere in the As or Bs.

My raw order do you mean the order of which I put it on? That wouldn't really make sense though because Anytime I add something it's not in the first or last spot.

No, windows will "insert" new into the directory list, then sort it for display. Windows won't give you raw order.

I don't think it's necessarily the "raw" order. I've had occasions where I've taken a blank USB drive and loaded a bunch of folders of music (albums) onto it in one shot. Then later on, I'll add a few more folders. Some of the added-on folders will show up at the end (that is, if I started with 30 folders and added more later, some would show up as folders 31, 32, etc.), but others will get inserted into the middle. I think it has more to do with alphabetical order and file modify/create/something date.

I should note that within the folders I copy over, the track names all start with sequential numbers (track numbers). Those have always played in proper order for me, it's just the folders themselves that have the crazy order.
