whoa! Air conditioning is an option on the 4door i model!!! Yikes mazda, what are ya thinking?? They should've made AC and PS delete options on the MSP. instead of PS just use a real high rate rack and pinion steering set up. It's not as terrific, but could really help free up some power. Especially during Auto-X

Hey at least A/C is standard on the top of line models in the US (s, I believe). In Canada A/C is still an option on the top of line hatch version, which is a total joke.

Thanks for the info!:D

here is what i got from a local guy who just ordered a Mazda3(Canadian!):

I am going to post the price on the Mazda 3 Sport GT (the car I preorder plus all the options I got )
Base price for the car as listed on the mazda site is $21,385
Air Cond + $1000
Auto/WithShifttronic +$1000
Leather + $900
Moonroof + $800
Now for the fees not listed on the site
$925 for freight/PDi
$100 air cond tax
$100 for metallic paint ( you don't have to pay if you don't choose a metallic paint/color)
Battery/Tires recycle fee and documentation Fee ( forgot how much they charge for it but it was not that much and most the same as with any other car you buy)
So with everything added it come to $26660 before tax. Wait and I got a measly $400 discount of the sticker price. Too bad couldn't really get more discount cuz the sales guy said that it was a 2004 model and I was on the preorder list and they are trying to sell out the remaining Protege/ P5 and was not in a hurry to sell the Mazda3 oh well.

There are like 7 or 8 different color choices if I remember correctly. First of all the sunburst yellow(found in P5) is no longered offered as a choice. THe choices are : Pure White, Black Mica, Orange color (found in the MPS), Titanium Grey Metallic (found in the MPS/RX8) , Sunlight Silver Metallic, Blue color (similar to the Laser Blue on the P5 but a bit different), Metallic Red color (forgot the name for it). Lastly there was another color which I forgot what it was. Also now you can choose the color of fabrics there is choice of blue or red trimmings there were some other which I forgot. However if you choose leather (like me) there is no choice cuz they only offer black leather interior.

I like it. I wish you could order the 2.3 motor without the A/C, but it's OK.

The curb weight is not too bad. Wish it was better, but at least it's not 3000 pounds!

I hate mazda's option packages. I don't mind that they come up with packages, but they should still list everything as single options and let people build it like they want it. I mean, if I go through the trouble of ordering a car that hasn't been built, I should be able to pick exactly the options I want. I guess every car manufacturer is like that these days, though...

I'd like the 4 door 'S' with no other options in Winning Blue, please...

What happened to that cool grey-blue as seen on the prototype cars???

It's called Titanium Gray and for the US this color is available for the s trim sedan and the hatch

That is the right car at the right price. Hope they sell like hotcakes. The only thing I don't like nowadays is pairing the moonroof with the sound system, which is standard across manufacturers. What does having a hole in your ceiling have to do with music?

Dayuum!! It looks freakin sweet in yellow.
