alright so 2 days ago i drive over a screw... flat! i pull the wheel off take it to a shop and have the tire plugged. not worried about this cause they are my winter tires. today i wake up to see i have another flat... this time a nail. i do the same thing pop the wheel off take it to the same shop, and assume they will do it as quickly as they did last time. oh and it was like 10:30 when i took the wheel in, and i was told it would be done the same day, and that they would call. 2 o clock comes around and i call to see if it was done since last time it only took them like 30 mins to do, no answer. i call a little later no answer. so i go over since they are only a block from where i work. and they are closed!!! ******* puts me at work without a way home!!! and they are closed on sundays... f*cking bull sh*t. i was told it would be done and that they never called. sorry the whole thing just really pissed me off!!!!

how did you get the tire there???? and um yeah i would def say something to the manager....especially if you go there regularly

Yeah, that is BS, but I'm still not understanding. They should have had it ready or told you they were not going to be able to, but what about your spare?

Thats crazy I work in the off season from my regular job as a tire monkey and it takes like 5 mins to plug a tire, in your case with the tire already off the car it's more like 2 mins. I know where I work if a plug comes in I pretty much stop doing what i'm doing and plug it.

the car is at my work, I work as a bike mechanic. But I just took the tire off and carried it. Monday today 12:37 the have been open since 9 and it's still not done. And no spare

i got a spare I can sell ya! lol

But, seriously, i've never had it take longer than 5 min's to get a tire plugged.

Something is not right

Haha by time I get my tire back you could had shipped one to me, I know it sucks cause I was really planning on having my car over the weekend.

Get a tire repair kit ($10) and a cig lighter powered air compressor at Walmart ($12). Except for those rare times when the tire deflates entirely and separates from the wheel, one of these kits will do the trick. I've had to use my twice and both times I plugged the tire with it still on the car!!!

I disagree on the tire repair kit. A previous owner of my car used one and the repaired tire would mysteriously go flat at random times. Sometimes dangerously so, like on the highway. I didn't find out about the iffy home repair until I replaced the tire and could see it on the inside. I have NEVER had a professional repair leak like that.

The air compressor is a good idea though, since usually nails and such leak slowly. I carry a foot pump for pretty much the same reason.

I used to use that spray in repair stuff all the time till I started changing tires and found out how awful that stuff is. I now curse the people who us it. But I do carry a 12v air pump and tire plugs, glue and the tools.

Mobile self tire repair FTW! Chicks dig it too when you can whip it out & fill'em up & send them on their way with a big ole smile on their face..................and they appreciate having their tire fixed too. lol

The kit is the SAME EXACT stuff that your tire store uses. You have no idea of the prev owner followed the instrux properly. You need to ream the hole well and most important of all -- use the vulcanizing glue on the plug.

Those little 12v compressors are GREAT, well worth the price of one. I've helped out a couple of people who had flats and their spare was low on air. Plus they are super useful when camping for filling air mattresses or filling up your bike tires come spring.

Yah mahn, you gots to use the glue, helps it go in easier once the hole has been reamed. (rofl2)
