i purchased the titanium gray 2006 mazda speed 6 sport in feb. of 2006 and have 8,600 miles on it and it has been in the shop several times, about every other week.it started with minor things and is slowly getting serius the passenger side ac vent came apart and needed replacing and the rear pasenger door molding was peeling back and had to be replaced then the breaks started squeking when driving at slow speed and not being aplied and had to be replaced ,then i had a clank or thud coming from back of car and took it in and there was 2 broken bolts that hold the reaer diff that need replacing ,then the power steering pump blew and was replaced and then the high presure fuel pump located on motor went out and i was supposed to get back yesturday but mazda anounced that sat. thay would start mandatory recall for pcm recalabration for power lose and there is a stop sale tell pcms are recalibrated in smog states so i am waiting for dealer to recive software.(ughdance)
hey everyone i got the car back and it went back the next day for powersteering pump again they did that and rack and pinion, front sruts, springs, motormounts amungst other things they also put in a second software that is now available and it is running great and driving great at least for now have put on 75 miles sience getting back.

second software?

Hope things work out for you man. Nothing more frustrating then that type of crap with a new car.

Right now I am dealing with a lemon law car (working on, not my own car). To my knowledge at least in IL there are more then a few things that have to met before the lemon law works. Again I am not a lawyer so definately get your facts straight. First thing is I believe you have to be buying the car.....you can not be leasing it cause they don't consider leasing the car as ownership. Secondly the car must have the exact same problem at least 3 or 4 times for more then 30 days total down time with in a year. This means that you say you have a check engine light on, but for 4 different faults this does not count as being the same repair 4 times. As in the situation that I am working on the car has had the same exact fault 4 times. Another tip is even though you are extremely frustrated try not to take it out on the dealership, for the most part they are on your side and are not the ones that are denying your claim to lemon law. The manufacturer is the one buying back your car, not the dealer so make the manufacturer's life hell and back up your dealer if they are backing you up.
