CX-5
Next Tuesday I'm taking the CX-5 in for an Oil Change, Spark Plug replacement, and tire rotation. I have my Blackstone Oil Sample kit ready to take a sample.

The sample is going to be awful. Multiple top ups, multiple oil additives, overdue oil change. Should be fun.

Also, the vehicle has 205k kms (127k miles for you Yanks). It will be interesting to see what the spark plugs look like. I will let you know how the vehicle runs and any improvement in gas mileage.

Original plugs? Also what additives did you use, and why? Just curious.

excessive oil consumption on these engines will usually point towards worn seals/rings from excessive high rpm operation when the engine was brand new.

The mechanic forgot to fill the container.

They put in Gpower NGK plugs. Please hold your comments. I know I should have got the other iridium ones, but I'm not going to argue. God forbid something happens and my motor blows up, they have an angle to get out of...whatever.

Anyways, took the truck for a run. So far, it runs FLAWLESSLY. You can't even tell the motor is running at a light.

I have a picture of the old plugs. Will upload soon.

Please hold the coulda, woulda, shoulda comments. I just had a hip replacement and I'm not in any shape to argue.
