Unorthodox Racing Pulleys and Cam Gears!

I will be working with UR to develop a set of underdrive pulleys and cam gears.

They will do a baseline dyno of my P5 to start and then add part by part and re dyno'ing to see gains.

However, I need to see some posts from those who would be interested in purchasing these products as they become available.

This boy right here is very intrested. I do know that Unorthodox already has a crank [ulley and a light weight flywheel for the mp3. So u need to develop the water, and alternator pulley now. but yeah include me

Im interested in purchasing cg's and up's. Is there a website I could go to to check out the progress?? And when will you post the dyno results??
 
From what Ive heard, the MP3 stuff isnt even developed yet ;)

As for the dynos... once we get things rollin I will let everyone know... but we are hoping for July

Next month that's not bad at all. At least it's a start and a start in a good direction. Know we need to get somebody to make a good set of headers like DC Headers we need to talk to them, need to get a bigger throttle body 65mm. to be exact talk to Edelbrock about that, talk to Crower to make us some cams, talk to STR or somebody to make a high-flow fuel rail, bigger injectors, somebody that will make a 180 degree thermostat, yeah just make sure that Unorthodox come out with the 3 piece pulley kit crank,waterpump,alternator, but try and make it to where we can still use our stock belt. Man I pray this all works out :)
 
I'm still iffy about the UDP...becase of the harmonic balancers. The rest of the pulleys tho...I'm in, as long as it's a reasonable price.
 
as far as i knew all 4 bangers are internally balance. hence no harmonic balancer. i know the zetec motors are like that. just a thought and ponder.

I just want to tell you that SR Motorsports has Under Pulley and water pump and alternator pullies. It's 209 for the crank pulley and 199 for the water pump and alternator pulley. They are made by indiglo.

As for a header you can use a 2.0L probe header from Bosla or pacesetter I4 2.0 for 626, probe and mx6.

About CAMS, I forgot who posted this but there are specs for the Speed Channel Challenge Protege. I would on stock MP3 and P5 regrind cams from 380 to 400. Like the BP Mazda Motor you will not need shims or springs.

Later on if you are not going Turbo and want an all motor MP3 or P5 deck the head and of course port and polish. On a 1.8L BP Motor decking .080, port and polishing cost me 650 at a head shop in Maryland. Also I took the specs from Gude along with my friend tomas potter had cams regrind. that was 225 for both. At that time there was no Cam gears for the escort gt/protege 1.8L bP motor so we used the miatas which has a slightly different drop dead center. As proof this June 2nd he ran 14.3 @ 93 MPH and finished second in all motor class. Also we can still put a ten pound turbo kit but we need to redo the valves with titenium valves and put a brace like thing on the lower crank so it does not flex with more horsepower which can be used from the new miata 2001-02. Thats why I hope those cam gears come out soon. I already have a port and polished throttle body from a 2.0 probe which fits but I have to do some modifications for it. Also get those intake thermo things they really do work.

After my warrenty runs out I might drop my 428 Cobra jet Motor in my Protege5. That motor has 850 HP. It was in my 1971 Mach I Mustang. I spent 5,500 just to rebuild the motor. Before I was hit head on it ran a 3,900 mustang 10.8 @ 145 mph

The header might have a plug for one oxygen sensor so you will have to get it drilled for our second one.
 
I was not clear on the cams. It is safe without shims for 380 to 400 lift cams. anything else you need shims and springs. sorry.:)

I've heard that before...if you could offer me proof somehow, I'd appreciate it...
 
I don't have proof but that is what i've just heard matter of fact people told me that the zx3 and my mp3 were the same engine so I went out and bought cams and cam gears for my car made for the zx3 found out that cams won't work so gotta send those back but i'm tempted to try the venom cam gears though..somebody on here said the cam gears might work
 
I have not tried this. It probably would not because the motors are totally different. If you said probe 2.0L I would say yes.

I called Corksport because they use to sell 2.0L probe cam gears but they said they never sold them. Then Derrick said the cam gear sensor might mess us up.

But you talk about people trying or heard someone tried Focus Cam Gears. They have Cam Gears Sensor so HMMMM. Also the new Honda Civic have Cam Sensor too. They might. LOL

I will look into this matter.
 
Please tell me what aftermarket parts for a Probe will fit my MP3 very intrested i've got money i want to put in my car all i know that will work is injen CAI, groundcontrol coilovers tellme what will work on my car from a probe
 
14.3 Specs what do you want. Its a 1993 Escort GT with the mazda BP Motor found in the Protege/escort gt/(323 gtr/gtx except that is turbo charged and has 8.5 to 1 compression) and Miat which is RWD.

After Market Probe headers will fit but it has a place for one oxygen sensor where our car has two. I have a Port and polished 2.0 Probe throttle Body but I need to retro fit it with ours because it will fit on the intake but the cable is on the other side like the first and 2nd generation Proteges.

The Unorhadox Pullies will fit but not work due to the belts on th a/c and power steering being different.

Most of the 2.0L Probes are getting the cams/Valve Springs/ and solid lifters from our MP3 and P5 because we have 130 HP and they only had 118 or 110 HP.
