Unichip is installed

I received it today and also installed it. Installation took about 2 hrs. Getting the kick plate back on is a PITA like everyone else already said. Also the vacuum lines are a pain. The car pulls very hard under boost. Boost is about 13-14 psi in the midrange and drops to 10-11 at redline. I also installed Denso copper plugs 1 step colder to be safe. I'll be driving a bunch this weekend!!

Would it be worth it to get the Unichip and not to have any real mods? I'm thinking it would be good just to get the car run right. The only thing I have to do is sell my drumkit and I will be all set.

Yes. The car runs like it should. I would have bought it even if it did not increase the boost. Well, maybe not for $900.

Now I need someone to buy my staff in my sig.....

Hey man, if you really like the product please take the time to send em a email. info@unichip.us

Its really awesome that there doin this, there isnt really alot of money to be made for em. Plus, it could give them a kick in the ass to develope the other parts of unichip that we dont even use (5th inject., nitros, assis launch, i/c spray, etc.)
interesting. intercooler spray? how much control over it does it offer (intermittence etc). is there a pgae that lists the extent of the capabilities of the unichip?

I'm curios to know something. If my only mod is a CAI and Apex 2.5 catless DP, would it be more wise to get the FMIC first, or would I be ok with the stock piece for now along with the Unichip.. Thanks fella's...

I believe the Unichip was tuned on a stock MSP. I would get Unichip. It is only $900 shipped, easy to install, you get it fast (it only took 3 days for mine. You might have to wait months for a FMIC) and you get more bang for the buck.

I just ordered a UNICHIP for my MSP. Is the installation going to be easy? Can you provide details?

Can anyone provide details about hardlines?

(chair) NEVER SELL YOUR DRUMS FOR CAR PARTS...NEVER!!!! i made that horrible mistake month ago.

It seems to me that 14 psi on stock internals is a very bad idea, good tuning or not. IT's the torque that will kill them in this situation. I'm not saying that the Unichip is bad (it's great from what I have seen), but just make sure that you car can handle the power.

I was looking into the unichip for about a month now but prior to installing that I wanted to pick up some Forged interals (Pistons/Rods). Ive aslo heard that a slight mistake on the install with the piston/rod could f up s*** really bad. Im really kinda clueless on what to do if I really can't do the unichip with out the internals and buy doin the internals I risk disaster. (blah)

I agree on this, but I have yet to see a unichipped motor pop. Anyone have one pop? What kind of milage does everyone have using the unichip w/EBC?

I am curious about this as well...I am thinking that the Unichip might be my final mod, but I don't know how I feel boosting that high on a regular basis, especially since I have resisted the temptation to turn the boost beyond stock so far...

Hopefully some of you Unichip users can help those of us on the fence about this come to some conclusions based on your experiences...

You can keep the boost stock with the unichip if you want. I believe it comes with 2 settings. One for normal daily driving and the other for more agressive driving. I could be wrong though.
