undertray

So this might be a retarded question , but every time I do an oil change I wonder why the undertray that we have to pull off to access the bottom of the enfine has a 5 inch round hole, at first I thought it was for access but it doesnt line up with anything, the only thing its good for is to grab to carry the undertray. Anyone have a clue?

I dunno, some retarded ME designed it, maybe? I thought the same thing when I changed my oil. Somebody screwed up...

They could've made a much better design for that. It's really annoying having to remove that thing for every single oil change. To make matters worse one of the screws on the back part of my shield won't come undone...luckily i can still get the shield off more than enough to complete the oil change...but yeah, really bad design although it does help to keep out dirt and water from the engine and CAI's.
