TypeC USB Hub does not work with 2021-2023 CX-5

I am annoyed how the 2021-2023 cx5 hub is 5w only, it's not charging my phone at all when using AA/CARPLAY

I saw the 2024 typec hub has fast charging and same connectors so I gambled. Seems like it's a software lock! The next thing I'll try is buy a 2024 cmu. It's the same plug, but it's a gamble too. Aww man!

CMU swap is likely not plug and play. I wouldnt spend money going that route.
The Aux socket 12v (15A) in the arm rest is your best bet

Oh no! Can you explain why it's not possible plug and play? With 12v cig I won't have AA, only solution is to get wireless adapter and use a fast charging cig

I think on gen7 (2021-) its coded to the car plus there is also integration with the tcu telematics and modem, etc
