How about it Ft Worth Crowd??

It seems like there are several Ft Worth Lurkers on this board who don't want to head to dallas....

Do we want to try to meet up in our part of town sometime? SOunds liek some of you guys are on the south side.. Isn't there a Hooters aroudn 20 & Byran Irving? Ben, thats' your neck of the woods... suggestions?

I can't speak for the rest of the 'lurkers' , but Grapevine would be much better for me. Even if it's only once or twice a month.

Grapevine is a bit of a drive for me. I wont be able to make that every time especially if its late at night. Do you want to keep the plano meets and do the DFW once a month then? I woul still prefer dallas but if its good for everyone I cant complain. Any other places? time and location?

Grapevine is a decent place. Its not Quite as far to drive. Really the big thing is its on a Monday. My bf works from 5am to 5pm Mon through Friday. Its very difficult to go anywhere too late during the week.

Grapevine on a weekend once a month would be awesome.

As for Hooters on 20 and Bryant Irving thats very doable. And yeah, I'm one of the lurkers tryin' to hook up with the Ft. Worth crowd.

Hum, Grapevine hOOters would be nice. from i-75 to Grapevine Hooters is only 30 minutes. Same from Arlington and Ft Worth. But I think they close early on Monday, like 11:00pm But also we got to remember that we want to show off at the meets so we need a place where some of the locals meet close enough.

PS- plus I would like PacmanMP5 to be there too. He has Tuesdays off. Regarding the early work, I did it. Went home at 3:00am and went to work at 4:30am. It sucked!

If the centralized meet is only going to be once a month, than perhaps it should be somewhere more fun than Hooters. Someplace like Speedzone or Gameworks where we can do more than sit and eat.

As for what Pirana said about showing off at the local weekly car meets (these being ones where owners of several different types of cars meet together) the Plano one is the only one I know of. This is really the deciding factor on us getting together Monday nights and in North Dallas. Maybe on this thread everyone should post the location of where the locals in their area meet on a regular basis. That could help narrow down where all the Protegs meet beforehand.

If anyone knows of one other than Plano's speak up. I heard JDMSam mention one on Tuesday nights, but don't remember where it was held. And Pirana had mentioned one (I think on Sat nights) in Arlington.

yup there is a hooters between bryant irvin and hulen, but from what i hear the view isn't that good. there's a fox & the hound, chili's, applebee's. they are also building a MAIN EVENT pretty close to hulen mall. But if its a view you want.....The Smoke Pit of bikini monday's would be my suggestion, but they're only open for lunch

ok guys heres my two cents...... i think that you should keep the monday meets in plano and the wednesday meets at rpm for the locals to meet at which ever one they want to go to but i think that there should be a once a month meet say like friday at Main Event in grapevine because its right off the high way you can have a good time and people can just do they're general pimpin'. then cruise to where ever anyone wants to go.

I agree with pacmanmp5. Trying to coordinate a big DFW meet every week is tough. A once a month meet somewhere where everyone can get there groove on would be great. More people will be likely to come and be consistant. I will probably make my way to Cafe RPM this evening.

Usually around 19:30-20:00 people show up. RPM closes at 9PM, but is usually open a little later due to us being there.

I am usually one of the 1st around 7:30... Most are there about 8ish..

we hang out there until about 9-9:30 then roll somewhere else..

Tonight I think we're going to some volleyball place to watch the scenery and grab a coupel beers... but that is always subject to change at the last minute.

yeah im one of the lurkin ft worth ppl wanting to meet up w/some ppl but i like the idea of the grapevine maybe once a month or so...i am just a panzie when it comes to me needing some sleep at nite..lol..make fun of me now but i need my sleep...but yeah like someone else said on here...the hooters on bryant irving isnt that great...and i see someone put on here speedzone on a monday nite...thats good cause if you can maybe get there by like 7 you can get the pass where you pay 29 bucks and run from 7-11 or 12 i think anything you want...so thats a good plan too if you are considering that..just putting in some advice

Ok so what I see happening is the Plano monday night meets are staying the same and once a month we will meet up closer to the FT Worth area and get a huge DFW protege meet going? Lets try to make the meet earlier or in the day than the Plano meet because of sleep time and everything for everyone. I like the idea of meeting at speedzone rather than a restaraunt because its more active. I enjoy the Plano meets because there are more than just mazdas up there.

I MIGHT not be able to make it to RPM this evening, I am in the middle of some fiberglass work and want to finish it while I have time off from work.

Are we planning a meet for HIN? I should be going.

Once a month at Main Event or Speedzone or Gameworks sounds awesome. As for the scenery at Hooters, I could take it or leave it being I'm female. I don't care its up to you guys where you think the hottest part of town is. I'm just here for the ride, the cars, the fun....whatever.

As for Hot Import Nights, sadly I made plans but can't make it. My surgery is July 29th and by the time HIN rolls up, I'll still be dribbling in stupor under the influence of healthy drugs. Irritates me it does. I so wanted to go.>,<

Anyways when you guys find a place for the once a month meet {On a weekend day I hope} lemme know.

And for some Ft. Worth people I think a couple of us are going to the Kennedale track Thursday evening. Not too many just a few if ya'll wanna meet there and cruise off somewhere else send me a holla.
