TWO MORE colors for 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege!!!!!!!

beretta, are you saying that the wheel in that pic is the darker one? I got other pictures from that show, and the wheels don't look dark at all. Although, I'm at work right now, and I don't have them in front of me...arg....but I think they were just the 2003 wheels, and that pic was just poorly lighted.

Anyone else got pictures their keeping to themselves? Where did these come from all of a sudden?

It could be the dark ones, I am not 100% sure, but they aren't as light colored as the ones I sat in, which was the 2003 orange. I think they are the dark ones but I did not see them in person, this is from a friends camera, which is damn nice.

theres nothing special about the wing it looks normal and the back bumper to i like my mp3 style better. is it true about the yellow is it diffrent then mine

If the wheels are two dark on the 2003.5's, I won't be buying it all. I can't stand dark wheels. What's the point of a wheel you can't see?

In the pics from the bc port, they look DARK

aww how could u.. i was craving on the dark rims... but maybe it wont match my orange speed umm :)

They aren't black for god's sake, but I get your point...I feel that way about black rims too...You know what is the worst part?? Have you ever seen someone with black rims on their car that doesn't keep their tires Armor-All'd(spelling??) Anyways, getting sidetracked...A darker rim(gunmetal, opal, or the 2003.5's) on a Spicy Orange MSP, with a carbon fiber hood is a beautiful thing...SOON : )

On orange it would look pretty good. But, i wouldn't go with a black ones though. I guess my hatred of black rims comes from the fact that for 6 months of the year around here, my car, and just about every other car has black winter steelies on them. And they just remind me of that.

dark rims on the silver, yellow, and orange would look nice. But on the grey ( gray ?) and Blue, I think it would be too dark.

Can't wait to see them

Hey, if their too dark, someone got a set of 2003's rims not used ?you wanna trade?
:)

Whoever is in charge of colors for the speeds should be fired!

To put my .02 cents; going back to the exclusivity of a limited production car, like the MP3 and the MSP. I had a 99 Prowler, and paid a hefty premium for a limited production car of about 5,000 in a 5 year span. When Daimler bought Chrysler, they decided to use all spare parts and build 14,000 Prowlers. I do not need to tell you what happened to the price of the following Prowlers and how they sat in the lot for months. I feel what the MSP owners are feeling, I enjoy the rarity of our Proteges including the P5. I hate having what every Joe Blow has be a Honda or a Corvette (reason I got the Prowler). Exclusivity is awesome. Unfortunately Mazda got to ride the bandwagon (no pun intended) a try to sell as many of this as they can. And apparently applying the MSpeed treatment is the way to sell this G3s. So guys enjoy it because there are still going to be less MSPs than SpecVs. :D

My $.02

The MP3 is and will always be a collector car. It brought the MP3 computer music format to the production car, and it did it with style and performance. It doesn't matter that you can get a P5, ES, RX-8, or even a Subaru WRX in Blue...The color blue has been around for a while...

The MSP will be a collector car if it is in Orange only...because thats the only special thing about it. There are tons of cars that have turbos, and tight suspensions, but no one has gone over the edge to produce a car in that color. The rest of the MSPs will be nice cars too, but the color has nothing to do with it.

In any case, 1500, 2000, 3000 cars...is still much much less than 20,000 MSPs driving around.

If you really want a collector car, and thats all you're worried about, then buy an RX-8. 30 years from now everyone will have forgotten about the MP3 and MSP...but you'll be able to go to a car show and chat with the guy (could be you) that has a mint condition first year RX-8.
