TWM short shifter for Mazda 3 in the 5?

I want to get a short shifter kit for my 5 but not sure if the one for the 3 would work. Does anyone know if this'll work, or better yet has anyone tried it?

Given that the 5 shifter has a very significant jog and angle-change in the shifter arm itself, it seems that even if it physically (and technically) works, the ergonomics of the 5 are so radically different from the 3 that you'd find it very difficult to actually shift gears - you'd have to lean forward and right. The 5 has ergonomics that aren't favorable for a shorter-throw shifter anyway, I think, but even if you wanted it I think you'd want a shifter that has the bend and angle-change like the stock shifter. Without it, reaching fifth gear would be a physical feat unless you have abnormally long arms for your height.

there is a short shifter made for the mazda5. i cant think of the site that has it right now, but i'll look in my yahoo group for the link.
