Looks Great. i was hoping to talk to someone that has installed one of twm's ball shifters. How do you like it? i have large hands and the stock shifter feels way to small for me. does that one feel larger?

its not too much bigger but it fits for me. the ball shifter is probably the biggest that your gonna get. its' nice

I installed mine this morning - couldn't pass up the sale. I've had my MS3 for almost 2 years and can't figure out why I didn't do this sooner - I guess I needed the sale to hook me. Anyway, this is an excellent mod. Even after all the time with the MS3, I would mis-shift from time to time with the stock shifter - just too much arm movement. Now with the TWM, I drove 130 miles today mostly in the hills with lots of twisties - not one missed shift all day. My MS3 now shifts exactly how I want it to.

I also repeated one small mod that I had done to tighten up the slop in the stock shifter. The cup that the shifter ball sits in fits loosely in my car - you can almost rattle the shfiter. Anyway, I cut some pices of plastic to use as shims to put between the cup and the main shifter housing and now my shifter has almost no slop at all.

modifying stock boot?

Anyone try shortening the stock boot so it doesn't bunch up? I haven't taken mine apart yet so I'm not sure if this is possible... I noticed TWM sells a shorter boot but I'd rather not spend an extra $48.95 if I don't have to.

I dont know why you would need a smaller boot. I just adjusted mine so it lines up and is not twisted and I am not having any problems with the shift boot.

+1 spdjnke. most come with directions. you can print them off TWM's website. i'm guessing most instructions are about the same
