TurboXS Hybrid BOV Installed!

I've been running 4 washers since I installed, then tried out 2 and 3 washers, ended up leaving 2 in cause there was a bit of torque loss with 3 and 4.

As far as setup, there is nothing to change up except the washers (top screws off, add or remove washer = stupid easy). 2 bolts into the intercooler flange, big outlet into the recirc hose, and then there are two tiny holes you dont mess with that are cut into the side of the valve, THOSE are your vta holes. There is no adjustment for this valve (unlike the turbosmart 50/50). It dumps into the recirc until you boost high enough for it to open the other two holes. <-- hope that answered your question.

the vta kick in the nuts is why I went with this valve -- already setup for our motor with no fear of zoom zoom boom

I've NEVER stalled or had idle problems. Only backfired a handful of times, shifting high at WOT

so ur running with 4 or 2 washers? lol will prob order 1 later tonight..

was gonnag et a cpe downpipe but gots no cash for instal

I ran 4 for a long time, and now I run 2. The differences are incredibly small and I think the TurboXS guys recommend 4.... but after another thread, I gave two a shot, and just like someone else posted, I was missing some low end torque!!

To give you a simple answer, I am currently running 2 washers ;)

I was gonna get a downpipe, but for quick changes (warranty) I ordered a cs testpipe instead which came in today with my mm inserts. Tomorrow they're going in!!

well 2 washers it is...

ya i tihnk ill be going with a cs racepipe as well..but there on back order :(

After this thread being quiet for a couple of weeks it really took off again! I believe Lestat has had his valve the longest of all of us so I would trust his opinion the most.

Everyone should go out and buy this valve because it's that awesome!

will do... i did last night but i canceled it cuz my credit card cycle ends tomorrow soo i kinda wanna wait for a fresh slate (sad1)

I know this is probably going to lget flamed on, but what exactly is a BPV good for? What is wrong with the stock version and why would you want to Vent to atmosphere on a car that measured the metered air? Any answers would be nice.

What is the upgraded bpv good for? The stock unit has a tendency to leak boost, and over time can be a few psi. An upgraded unit is not just for performance, but also insurance that your car will continue to run properly.

What go vta? I have heard some people argue that it keeps the turbo spinning more than a bpv when shifting.... but honestly, I LOVE the turbo noises ;) The 50/50 keeps the MAF happy and gives me my sounds, so what if I'm a little bit....(flame2)

I agree that's the big reason people go vta is to hear the turbo noise. I always make sure to shift between songs so I can hear my valve. pppppppssssstttt
