TurboXS Downpipe $299.00

I thought the dp was 299? Now its 399?

the turboXS downpipe is supposedly going to be 299
i have never changed the price on or seen the price change on the corksport downpipe

regardless, its still cheaper with freight to go with the CS and vibrant system and i'll put my neck out there and say the fitment and quality is as good if not better. plus, the corksport downpipe is a divorced gases design which has always proven more efficient than a combined exit design.

I'll back you up the corksport and vibrant fit is perfect. If the turbo xs pipe is real and 299 then that would be a sick deal. But why doesn't anyone have a picture of it?

No one has a picture cause it hasnt been officaly announced. They are working on puting it on there web site. As far as I know it is still 299

It doesnt make sense to me. 299 is the sale price. soo 299 plus 150 for a race pipe that doesnt leak, plus 600 for an exhaust and u have a put together system with more connection than a cpe which is 550 for the dp and 570 for the catback.
299 sale price. Official is 399
150
600
= 1050 or 1150 on a put together exhaust

cpe
540
560
1100 on a exhaust that was manufactured to be a combo.

I think ill stick with cpe

thats all well and good, but if you don;t plan on changing the entire exhaust then your point here is null and void. If you are looking for a DP only which a lot of people are, then the Turboxs makes sense.

sure, but to further play devil's advocate i'd like to see them side by side (CS vs TXS) to see which one is better

cpe catback $685
cpe downpipe $585
total $1270 without shipping

corksport downpipe $399
vibrant exhaust system $650
total $1049 shipped

Actually just to clarify, our turboback exhaust system is $1072 shipped, I think you're looking at our MSRP's Ken:

And yes, our downpipe is one-piece, and was designed to mate with the stock exhaust system. Our downpipe and catback both feature ball and socket flanges, so they can be mixed and matched with stock hardware. As far as I know, we're the only ones who designed in this feature.

corksport's downpipe bolts to the stock exhaust system without a problem, as do our test pipes. i have heard this myth from more than one person and i wish i knew where it started.

i to would like to see that. Part of the reason I was wanting to see pics and a dyno sheet would be nice as well

Here it is. I will have it tomorrow morning here is what turboxs says about it aswell.

TurboXS releases the Mazdaspeed3 downpipe (MS3-DP). This downpipe is the pure key to turning your MS3 into a real beast. Our stock MS3 made 274 ft. lbs and 244.1 whp. This is on our in house Dynapack Dyno. Adding our MS3-DP and the MS3-RP we saw an average 50 ft. lbs. gain and 40 whp gain combined. Reducing all large restrictions post turbocharger is the proper technique for broad torque band and massive horsepower gains. The downpipe bellmouth is made from an investment casting engineered with clearance notches for ease of installation. The bellmouth was used to give your wastegate the proper flow characteristics to avoid a boost creep and promote high exhaust gas velocity. 3 inch mandrel bent stainless steel is used throughout to compliment the bellmouth housing. This will mate to your stock cat or our race pipe and will not trigger a CEL.

I read in a differnt thread it was suppose to have a flex section. Any actual dynoes cause the one in the other thread are wierd and unclear as to what mods were on the before and after dyno

Not that I know of. That is just what I pulled off there web site. And when I get my dyno done there will have been mods that I had already put on. I have not dynoed before the down pipe but we will see what the final numbers are then.

OK Captain small questions for a desicion.
OK i`m a little confused as to the technical side of various exhaust modifications etc,so i would be greatful if you bring about a detailed explanation.
On your web site the your cat back turbo exhaust apparently gives 30hp to the wheel and so does the downpipe.
Since we are not going to get 30hp per upgrade as such is it necessary to upgrade both or only one and is the downpipe compatible or upgradeable with a Garret Gt30r turbo.
What is a test pipe and which of these would give the most HP at the wheels alone. With the test pipe we are looking at 3 different installations now only one upgrade can give a maximum of 30-40hp at wheels, even if all 3 are were to be fitted,am i correct.?

:(((((

and does TXS include a new exhaust/DP gasket? and a DP/RP gasket?

anybody installed one yet? how good are the instructions?

Right from turbo xs's website:

catless downpipe= $299.99
catless testpipe= $129.99

http://www.turboxs.com/shop_car4.php?car=18

So you're looking at $430.00 retail for both pieces. I'm sure from some vendors you could get a better price too

I'm curious about quality and fitment at that price though

Edit- i don't know why the thumbs down got put on but it was by mistake

Exactly ,lets see it on like 20-30 MS3`s first, look at the feedback and performance and then we`ll see.
