hi guys im planing to put the downpipe and the exahust but i don't know which one is better?? please give me any suggestions, opinions and tell me which one is the best to put in my car. thanks

theres a thread called calling all msp's wit aftermarket exhausts that lists a grip of them.. you can decide for urself.. do a search

What's best for YOUR car is just that, YOUR decision. What do you want to do? DO you want to be street legal? Do you want to be FAST AND FURIOUS? Do you want to be a no thrills ride? Blah.

You haven't given us nearly enough information. It sounds like you, yourself, still have some research to do before you even start putting this all together.

It all depends on what you want to do. I was going to go full custom and use the stock muffler but I couldn't find a good shop close by. Now I am going for the corksport power series that is in the group buy. It is cheap and gets rid of the cats which was all I really wanted to do for now. It is 2.4 inch piping but it should be enough for me because I dont run real high boost. If I had the money I would go for the Ion Turbo Back with no cats or maybe a high flow cat.

So who sells exhausts with cats??

I tried to search - but a bunch of useless threads resulted.

i want to run legal but i also want my car to be fast. how much is the corksport and how much horse power increase?? i want quality, durability and performance.

if you can find a local exhaust shop that does mandrel bends, go custom, it will be alot cheaper. Also it would be better since you live in florida to go no cats, no emissions anyhow.

Ditto on this...got mine done for $250 installed. It's a hell of a lot better than $1400+.

spike - go check out corksport's webpage. www.corksport.com. i believe they have some clips of their exhaust as well. if not, they're in the exhaust thread i started, along with several others. so far, i haven't heard of anybody having any real problems with their aftermarket exhausts (minus 1, but they stopped selling that product). so they're all good choices :).

mspdfreak - ss won't rust so it'll last a lifetime. aluminized will begin to rust after a while (maybe 5-7 years). however, if you lived up in the rust belt, it'd be a good idea to get ss. since you're down south though, guess the choice is up to you.

Sorry but I need to deflate this common myth -
SS can and does indeed rust - it is just a LOT more oxidation resistant than mild steel or aluminized steel.

Just scratch a piece of stainless - it will, rust trust me.

ok, yes, technically ss rusts. so will titanium. but what makes those two unique is the fact that the oxidized compound is a stable one. thus, the layer of oxidation on the outside protects the rest of the metal from oxidizing. i believe aluminized steel uses aluminum to allow the aluminum to oxidize first (since it oxidizes more easily than steel). but once the aluminum is consumed, the steel will begin to rust. that's why aluminized steel only lasts so long.

if u wanna run legally then corksport is not the one for you.. their system is a dp back.. kinda thingy.. no cats..

why do you want to run legal, there is no "legal" in florida...cars with open headers don't even get pulled over...
