i am getting this combo from my friend it came off a used car but there is no second flange on the back side where can ya get that? what other parts would i need to install and how hard is it?
heres a pic
Do you mean exhaust hangars? I dont see any on the racepipe if thats what your talking about. The install can take anywhere from 2.5 to 5 hours depending on your luck with turbo studs and O2 sensors. After all was said and done it really wasint that hard, just have to be patient. and spray your O2 sensors and turbo studs with PB blaster and let them soak for a good 30 mins or so. good luck man.
That racepipe came with a flange on the back. There was a time when some of htem were breaking off becasue they were not welded properly. That one is missing. Here is what I'm talking about. LINK
The good news is that it looks like you have a good downpipe there. I would just install that. You get nice gains just from that alone.
is it the piece thats on the cat on the right hand side? the old cats have not been installed back on the other car yet but the guy said that part of it need to be on to mate to the stock cat back im not sure about that..

Part of what needs to be on what? I can't understand what you are trying to say.
The DP in the pix is fine. The RP is broken at the downstream end - the flange is missing. You do need that to connect to the stock cat back. You'll be best off to replace the RP. As stated above, it's cheap. Consider getting a good performance muffler shop to do the install or you. As everyone has stated, the R&R on the DP is a real b****. The RP is easy. Also, you will throw CEL's and extending the O2 sensor bung does not seem to help most of us. I just live with it.
It is going to be quite a bit louder with this mod. You might want to hold off on modifying the stock cat back system until you see if you are o.k. with the increased noise. Besides, there will be no additional power gain from that. The real gains are from the DP/RP.
Also, you do not need exhaust hangers with the TurboXS. The flex joints take care of that.
My Advice or opinion I should say. Disconnect it where I circled in blue and thow the race pipe or section that is missing the flange away. It is trash. Getting another flange welded on there just right will be a pain and who knows how bad that connection got damaged when it came apart going down the road on the car it was on. If there is a spacer between the two parts keep it. If I remember right there should be. Then you would just have the downpipe left. It will connect to the stock part you have marked with red though I cannot remember off the top of my head which end. There are quite a lot of these put in with feed back. Take a look around decide if you want to go down the Ms3 modding love-hate journey.
thanks for the input much appreciated..i read on here that turboxs was sending out new ones for the ones that the flange fell off might call them up see what happens
