Turbo Timer and alarm question?

I think in the thread I found it stated what the wire was for.. I will take a look and see if I can found it.

I think it would make sense thatit allows the alarm to know when the car is running, like a accessory wire. When i cut mine i will take a voltage reading.

Wire

So I cut the wire behind the rear deck like everyone else did, unfortunately, the alarm still won't arm when the engine is running. The remote works and the doors lock, but the red light doesn't blink. Once the engine turns off, and I hit the remote again, the light will start to blink. Did anybody else notice this?

From what I have read... If you cut the orange wire to pin 6 of your alarm module, and cut the blue/white wire to the remote entry module you will be able to arm the alarm and lock the doors whether the car is running or not.

I have only Cut the wire in the back. I will soon be cutting the other wire..

Yes, that's correct. you have to cut the orange wire at the mazda factory alarm as well as the blue/white wire under the rear deck. this will arm and lock the car even though the car is still running. works great.

I have cut the orange wire to the alarm box, but still not arming. Any suggestions?

hmmm... not sure. you wired your TT correctly and it works fine?

The blue/white wire sends a voltage to the keyless entry module at the back of the car when your car is running. That's wire is to send a signal to the keyless entry module and tell it not to arm. By cutting this wire, it should work.

Another wire to send power to the keyless entry module at the back is the blue/red wire. This is how the keyless entry module get the power. This wire always have power(hot in all time). You should make sure you didn't cut the wrong wire.

If you have access to the keyless entry module connector, stuck a T pin at the back of the blue/red pin and test for voltage. If you don't have voltage, then you don't have power.

You could also do the same thing for the other wires that goes to the door lock module or the horn relay. When you arm your car, you should also get a voltage at those pins. If you have power at the blue/red wire, but no voltage at the other pins when you arm the car, your keyless entry module might be bad.

Hope that helps.

OK just in case anyone wants to know, the module on the protege 5 is located under the dash, drivers side, on the door frame side, up higher. I'll try to take a pic.

Its the same blue/white wire as the sedans.

I also wired it a little different than everybody else did. I heard people say that if you just cut it, then you could lock/arm your car when its running. So I wired a relay inline on the wire, so that when the car is running normally, you cant lock the doors with the keyfob, but if its running off the TT, then you can lock them. Just wire the relay so its normally "on" then have a wire running from the TT wire that is hot when its on. You will have to put a diode after where you tap into that wire before where it ties into your car. If you dont do this, you will get juice feeding backwards when the car is on and trip the relay allowing you to lock when its running normally. I can supply a diagram if anybody wants it.

It works great!

great info!

A diagram would be awesome, no hurry though.

happy turkey day!

actually i didnt see any Blue/grey wires and Naldec box. All i saw is a clear white box Named Keyless Entry and couple Blue/pink wires. Anyway, i cut the blue/white wires, it WorKS...wow...Thx alot

Okay i know this is an old thread but if i cut the blue/white wire on the box underneth the rear deck and cut the orange wire on the stock alarm box it will lock and arm itself while running? Also where is the stock MSP alarm box??? Is it the box under the steering wheel were you can adjust how easy the alarm goes off??

Also if i just cut the blue/white wire on the wireless alarm under the rear deck can i lock my car while running and it just wont set the alarm??

All that is correct as far as cutting wires goes. If you look under the dash you can locate your shock sensor where you can adjust your sensitivity. It should be located near you alarm brain.

So the alarm brain is close to the shock sensor box? and if i cut that orange wire and then tap the wire still in the alarm brain into the thick black wire then it will "arm the alarm while running" right

I have only cut the blue/white wire under the rear deck. This allows you to lock your car while it is running.
Once I get my car on the road again I will also be cutting the other wire.
