Just out of curiousity at what RPM does your turbo start to spool at in your MSP. I start to hear my turbo at around 3500-4000k. That seems a little high doesnt it? Your input is greatly appreciated.

Mine is the same, not sure why...

^ look at the size of your fmic!! lol...that'll slow 'er down a tad. yea mine starts just after 2k and hits full pretty quick if WOT.

FMIC will slow it down a little because the charge air has so much more volume to fill. So an smic, small fmic, or one with very direct piping would slow it down less, but still slower than stock, and the pressure drop with the upgraded intercooler (turbo must make up for that).

do you have a boost gauge? just becuase u hear it then doesnt mean it wasnt spooled up. if you are on stock boos tat 6psi it will definitely spool up before 4000k

Yeah I dont think the FMIC should affect how it spools that much. But then again who knows
A large FMIC will create more turbo lag then say a smaller one. The same amount of air has to move past a bigger area to reach the combustion chamber. However you have to balance size to efficiency. A good example is the srt4 guys that are running stock boost with a cat back and intake but have a huge After market front mount. With out increasing the boost and proper tuning youre not helping the car that much. Of course thats because the neon has that nice big front mount over crapy heat exchanger s*** but hey its better than nothing.
