Turbo questions

I do not know anything about turbo cars this is my first. I have some questions:

1. Is our intercooler liquid cooled or just air?

2. The reason all the talk about a front mount intercooler is it to help cool the air more and therefore more horsepower?

3. What about aluminum piping does this cool the air more or is it just to look cool as s***?

4. Does anybody know of a link to learn more about BOV and downpipes for a newbie like myself?

1-air to air IC

2-bigga is betta, just as long as its not too big, you run into other issues as far as turbo lag goes when its too big. right ladies??

3-piping is cool as s*** and with a little luck i'll have my test pipes for this by weeks end. but there are some coatings that are dissipate(not sure if thats the word i'm looking for) heat better than the chinsy plastic making them more efficient

4-use the search button on the site here and look up bov's. there's numerous pages about them. or find a search engine thats to your liking and do a search to come up with more factual material than what you may find on here
