Im stuck on something i cant seem to figure out. maybe some of you turbo people can help me out, toss me a bone you know.
ok so anyways here is what is happening.
My WG and PR valve are both t'd into the same port. But the port on the tee that sources the WG was blocked off with a screw. now it was boosting but i was getting like a screeching sound sometimes as i boost as well as when i let off i get flutter. so i figure i can just replace the t and be done with it. now here is where it gets crazy. its driving me bananas. When i use the t that was blocked off to the WG it boost good but it gives me flutter. could it possibly be the BOV not opening up? mind you its a factory one, also the WG is an adjustable one. not sure if it had been replaced prior or what the situation might have been.
when i use a free flowing t it doesnt boost at all. its a night and day difference. one you can feel. does the WG need to be hooked up on its own source? im just so confused. im thinking like, the wastegate was adjusted wrong or the wrong type of wg boost lbs wise so it doesnt open to the boost the car puts out. also i just want to add that the WG and PR valve were tested by themselves with a vacuum pump. they both held fine but i wasnt sure if they needed to be at some specific value. i wasnt sure how to check the WG other than just put vac to it. unless its just stuck closed?
any suggestions or any similar issues. i cant seem to find anyone in relation. anything helps. thank you mazdapeople.
