Turbo issues?

So today I replaced the egr valve and while removing the cold pipe, I noticed oil on the inside and also oil residue on the outside. Obviously there's a turbo leak. What do you guys recommend? Are there any other options besides buying a new turbo, just don't want to break the bank because I know turbos are pretty pricy?

Yeah that looks like it to me, $950 isn't too bad.
I recall seeing them for around $700 but I can't find the site. Or you can get a knockoff for around $250 and gamble or get it balanced and see how long it lasts. The $250 turbo would likely be journal bearing though.

So I installed the new turbo with my friend. My friend tapped the turbo to connect it directly to the wastegate with a vacuum line and we connected the original vacuum line from the intake to just a random bolt on the cold pipe so there's not a vacuum leak. However, now I can't hit boost so It feels like a NA car. Do u think connecting the vacuum line to a bolt still causes a vacuum leak.? 'm gonna zip tie the line and hopefully that'll do the trick. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

you would have to delete the line you arent using or it will always leak boost/vaccum. take care of that like.. right now.
