Turbo install finally done! Thump this GT30R baby!

one of the worst things I see here is the amout of people that intend to do internals but blow their stocker first.

sure it makes you have to get internals sooner, but now your out the core you need for the build.
extra money spent for no reason.

don't underestimate CFM, your 8 psi and a stock turbo msp's 8psi are in two completely different leages. A GT30 will give you a much more linear power band which will be much more rod friendly, but up top it gonna flow like a mother. Just don't get carried away in the upper rpm.

Looking forward to some 8psi dyno numbers.

no kidding that thing flow like 20% more then the t25.

it's so funny, there is so many threads like this with the whole "it's gonna pop"and yet people keep doin it.

BTW,the kit looks great, and I am glad to see the E-manage actually working on a protege.

Thanks everyone for the great advice...good thing its winter and wont be running it much or at high boost at all.

The emanage is the Blue and yes it also controls timing but I havn't doe it yet. The funny thing is to on a T30 at 8psi uses less that 20% of the turbo capability and is designed to run way higher = lag , etc,,

Problem is the engine cant take it so we have to go forged.

Another example that bigger isn't necessarily better.

I also found that climate and elevation can drastically change your tuning. Here we are 3000 ft above sea level and its -20C and the roads are crap with snow and ice.

Now take Califonia with all you jerks with the great weather and perfect tan and nice roads and hot ladies and...lots of space and lots of technical help....LOL...sense my anger yet??? LOL

Why is everyone suprised to see the e-manage working properly, when it

was one of the first EMS's being used?

I was under the impression the emanaged worked, but sporadically. IIRC it would need to be tweaked often as the stock computer tried to outlearn its tune. and i thought ppl that did have an emanage, where only using it to control fuel.

nice roads?

you haven't spent much time in Cali have you?

glad to hear the install went great and the beast is up and running, but like others noted, resist the FI urge and keep the boost low until you go forged.

congrats Jeff! any chance you might be able to take me for a spin sometime this spring? :)

Jeff, at 14 psi what % are you at o nthe injectors? I'm running the 440s also but since I'm forged, my goals are more around the 18-22psi range (14 daily) but I don't wanna max them out. That being said however, I don't want bigger ones if I don't have to...

As I am not very wise...call Raymond at Silverstone... he will tell you what to use right over the phone. I am using the 440cc and they should hold out until 14s...if you go into the 20ies I think you betto go with the RC550s or larger... Thats alot of piss for out little cars.

Forged is next....

You should, what if it maxes out and goes a bit over boost? No extra protection!
I would to 750cc at least. Car will idle just like stock if tunned right.

I'm running the Split Second AFC, Rev.2 so I'm thinking bigger for sure. That being said, are there any other injectors that dont require the factory harness to be spliced? That's why I like the 440's...

STI's or you can mod the 440s to go to 700cc
