TSB's...Tech Service Bulletins on Mazda3

Hope everyone calls in and complains, maybe Mazda will look into it.

Mazda (including myself) knows that "brake dust" is normal, regardless if it's on the front or rear wheels. There is absolutely nothing they will do to fix it. I just saw a $80,000+ Benz with brake dust on all 4 wheels. It's normal! I think we all need to let it go, and if it really bothers you, buy aftermarket pads. It's unfortunate, but that's the way the ball bounces sometimes.

Very true. Brake dust IS normal.

What's not normal is for me to wash and detail my wheels, drive to work and have a coating of brake dust on them in 20 miles, 18 of which are on the freeway with no braking taking place.

That's excessive.

It's not so much the dust the bothers me. It's the fact that so much dust in that short of a time means that my brake pads are wearing down extraordinarily fast.

Man another two tsb's just came out for the 3...i think you guys actually have as many tsb's for the 3 right now, as the 6 had in the past 2 years!

Here's the new ones...

It's funny to read this. I was just mentioning to a friend of mine the other day that every 3 I have seen has a ton of brake dust on the rear rims. At first - I thought people had just rotated the tires front to back and were too lazy to clean them. But after seeing every 3 on the road with rear rims darker than the front - hmm.... kinda odd.

Crossbow, good info.

I think that FDM one may explain a lot of the purge solenoid problems.

That wiper one is definitely an issue, too. I'm going to have that one done ASAP.

I'm going to see if they'll just give me the parts for that and the door screw cap thingy. I hate having to give up my car.

That sucks Goldwing. Mine have brake dust but I wouldn't say it's that bad. Well hopefully Mazda will do something soon...
