Trunk light forgotten?

Just a thought. The problem with replacing the cargo area bulb and shorting out the module back there was specific to '13-'15 models because of where it was located. I wonder if: 1) That is the reason the light was moved to the tailgate, and 2) If this solved the shorting issue. Anyone?

Please do report back after the installation on this Amazon LED kit. Make sure to disconnect the cable for trunk light while replacing the bulb.

Mine were replaced a few months ago. I never disconnected the power cable (didn't even dawn on me to do it). No problems for me.
