Hey guys, I bought 4300k Halogen lights and I'm trying to change them myself but I was unable to. The wire harness won't detach from the bulb and pulling on it just moves the bulb/seal/and harness together. Any suguestions?

The whole bulb with the metal piece should just unplug like your unpluging a three prong socket. Just remember how the retainer clip is holding the bulb, because it can be a pain getting it back in.

There is also a big rubber boot.

The plug that goes on the back of the buld is pretty small. Maybe an inch and 1/4 by an inch and 1/4. Pull that first. Remove the big rubber boot (about 3 and 1/2 inch in diameter by working it a bit and pulling out. Than unhook the wire bail that holds the bulb in place. Than the bulb.

Don't get finger grease on the new bulb as it will pop as soon as you turn on. If you do touch the bulb, wipe it down with alcohol.

Racebrewer, Tried to remove the plug but it wouldn't give. The plug/seal/and bulb all ended up moving together as if the bulb was fastened to the plug.

Remove the rubber grommet behind it a clips hold the bulb. Pull the clip towards you and voil

The wiring harness is a b**** to get off. Once you do the rest is easy, pull the rubber boot and the spring clip. You have to rip that fcking harness off like crazy.

The left side on mine is a little tight to get my fingers in, but I got it after a minute or so if wiggling and pulling to change my stock bulbs. So glad I changed the bulbs, the old ones were a little dim compared to the new ones lol.
