Transmission Symptoms...

I've read all of the tranny problems that many of of have had, and this morning, I had some new ones arise...any of the more technically knowledgeable people want to chime in an let me know what they think...I'd like to have some sort of idea of what I'm talking about when I go to the dealer to describe the probelm...
-Usually, as many of us have noticed, when cold the transmission is kind of rough...first gear has given me problems since day one. Writing that off as normal, since my old car kind of did the same thing, as well as many of the cars on this forum. The problems include, trouble getting into gear,
and (what I'm asking about) the worst being when engaging the clutch
-a very harsh shudder, as if the clutch couldn't catch, rattling the entire car, and making loud thudding sounds on each skip...- Well, today, it started doing that while shifting into second. It happened once, ok, the car may be cold, but it happend half the way to work :wtf:...now I'm really starting to worry, and of course the dealer is 40 mins or so away, so another pain in the ass trip back..
I want to have some sort of idea as to what this could be before I show up to the dealership. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks as always

I have all the same problems, but my car also gives me alot of trouble getting into 2nd and grinds when i shift into third at high rpm's. i have had my sychros replaced twice. They said before they fix it again the mazda NA rep has to aprove it, but he is only in there area every 3-6 weeks. its been over a month still no call. this has become a pattern with mazda. I just want my tranny fixed!! also i have trouble getting the car into 1st or reverse when starting the car. i must roll forward or backwards before it goes into gear and this is with the clutch all the way down! When i talk to this Mazda Rep i will report what he says to try and help everyone with their problems. Im not gonna just except this. i want it fixed and fixed right. Untill then i will continue to grind. Good luck with ur problems. my dealership is 35mins away it is a pain in the ass trying to get a ride there all the time.
