Transmission Problems..i think...

Hey guys, i have a weird problem... i think its weird at least. When my car is cold it goes into 1st gear and reverse just fine, when i stop at stop lights its fine as well. but once it warms up i cannot get it to go into 1st gear or second gear or reverse , i literally have to use all my muscle to get it to go. it does not grind at all when going in, its just really hard... any suggestions?

Bad syncro's. You can use a cocktail of redline, GM syncro mesh, and atf. It may help for a while but eventually your gonna need a rebuild.

Gm syncromesh and lucas oil stabalizer together will do you wonders. 2 quarts gm and 1 quart lucas.

do i just pour it into the transmission?

yea the fill hole on your the front upper side of your tranny, gonna need a long narrow filter and pour it in there till it starts pouring out the hole.

should i drain it first or just add it to whats in there? oh and the only lucas oil trans stabilizer was for autotrans, will this work?

doesn't need to be trans stabilizer, just the straight oil stabilizer. and yea drain your old fluids.

Could be shifter linkage bushings if it's only hard getting it into first/reverse.

ahh alright thanks! i had to order the gm stuff, nowhere sells it and the dealer wants $20 a quart... would the shifter linkage cause second gear to be hard as well?

Yes the shifter linkage would diffenitely cause second to be hard also! Just get the aftermarket shifter linkage bushings that corksport sells.
