2016~2023 Transmission fluid

Bought a 2016 with 109,000 miles. Went to drain & fill transmission fluid. Looked like level was to the top of the dip stick, appeared to me there was to much. 4.5 qts came out and I refilled with 4 qts. Level was close to correct. Fluid was a deep red but replacement fluid was blue, is this a problem? What should I do at this point?

Solution
Replaced at normal operating temp. Does the half/half mix now create a problem and should I have a shop flush & replace?
The fluid expands. Check while at 122°F. Only then will you know if you need to add more.

Will the mix create a problem, no, but I would do this again at the next oil change to increase the % of new and correct fluid.

To confirm: you measured the level at 122°F? Need an OBD device to monitor the temp.

Yes, fluid should be blue. Only way it would get to red is if someone replaced it with the wrong fluid.

Will do, but curious if the mix now creates a bigger problem. Will drain & fill a couple times help or is a complete flush necessary

My first drain/fill (on a 2017 CX-3) was with the wrong fluid, red Idemitsu M5. Within a week or two I did a second drain/fill with the Aisin FZ and two more rounds after that. Not sure what harm comes from the mix of old OEM fluid and red, they mix fine, no jelly or sludge. I didn't do a flush. I replaced the filter later on because the pan was showing a leak.
