Transfering Warranty

So I'm going to look at a MSP on Monday with my father and we're planning on buying it if it checks out alright. How do I go about transfering the warranty once we buy it, or does it automaticlly transfer to the new owner? (shrug)

If you're referring to the factory warranty, it will automatically transfer to the new buyer.

If you're referring to an extended warranty (Mazda or third-party), it may or may not transfer. Most extended warranties are refunded (on a prorated amount) to the original owner when the vehicle is traded in.

Make sure that you register the car at Mazda's Web site (www.mazdausa.com) so they know how to contact you for recalls and stuff like that.
