Tranny fluid?

Has anybody replaced the trans fluid in their MSP/MP3/etc.?

If so, does it make a difference in shifting? Was it hard to do? What kind did you use/do you recommend?

I'm thinkin about getting the Kartboy shifter bushings, and figured I'd do as much as I could to get it shifting like a hot knife thru buttah.

I just put in three quarts of Redline MTL yesterday, and I can tell a big difference. I have the Kartboy bushings as well, and shifting is nice and smooth now... It isn't hard to change at all, it will take a pretty big socket, but other than that it's like an oil change without the filter. :)

Here you go... :)

MANUAL TRANSAXLE [G15M-R]
TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT [G15M-R]
1. Remove the drain plug and the washer.
2. Drain the oil into a container.
3. Install a new washer and the drain plug.
Tightening torque
4058 Nm {4.06.0 kgfm, 2943 ftlbf}
4. Remove the oil level plug and the washer. Add
the specified amount and type of oil through the
oil level plug hole until the level reaches the
bottom of the oil level plug hole.
{2.83 US qt, 2.36 Imp qt}
5. Install a new washer and the oil level plug.

I'm a novice at car stuff, but would have to agree it is a simple project. I have the Kartboy bushings/short shifter and put in some Redline tranny fluid. Haven't had any problems and it makes for smoother shifting.
